This a randomized controlled trial nested in the Swiss HIV cohort comparing the effectiveness of a martphone app and carbon monoxide self-monitoring support for smoking cessation. The primary outcome is the combination of self-reported continuous abstinence biochemically verified by a carbon monoxide test in-person, with a cut-off of 7 ppm, at 6 months.
